The Sunco Diverter Valve is designed to reroute materials from one discharge point to another.  The typical design consists of one inlet and two or three discharge points. Actuation can be manual, motorized or pneumatic.
Sunco offers two types of diverter valves: gravity and conveying.

Gravity diverter valves (click here for more information on fabricated diverter valves) are a fabricated design used on gravity applications where little or no pressure is involved.  These units are generally fabricated from 1/8" plate and include an internal flap that is manufactured with two plates sandwiching a polyurethane wiper seal.  The whole assembly is mounted on the main spindle, which is supported externally by two sealed-for-life, 2-bolt flanged ball bearings.

Conveying diverter valves consist of  robust bodies manufactured in two sections, split at the center flange for ease of access to the internal sealing flap.  These units are used on pneumatic conveying applications with the smooth internals allowing for no lodgment points.  With the special cone transition at the inlet, an efficient internal seal is maintained, thus increasing the conveying line pressure.
